Abalone ("sea snails") are a type of marine gastropod mollusk that typically occur in the temperate and tropical seas of New Zealand, South Africa, Australia, North America, and Japan. Their flat-ish ear shaped shells are decorated with spiral designs on the outside and a beautiful layer of iridescent mother-of-pearl called nacre, on the inside.
Abalone shells are great for aquarium habitat, arts and crafts projects, home décor display, smudge pots and jewelry making!
